(27 April 2017-Hong Kong) Vinda International Holdings Limited (stock code:3331) announced today its unaudited first quarter financial results for the three months ended 31 March 2017. Revenue increased by 21.3% (with an organic growth of 7.0%) to HK$3,104 million of which HK$2,512 million was from Tissue segment and HK$592 million was from Personal Care segment. Gross profit grew by 20.8% to HK$945 million. Gross profit margin decreased by 0.2 percentage point to 30.4%. Operating profit rose by 23.2% to HK$293 million. Operating profit margin increased by 0.2 percentage point to 9.5%. EBITDA increased by 27.9% to HK$480 million. EBITDA margin expanded by 0.8 percentage point to 15.5%. HK$6 million of total foreign exchange loss (First quarter of 2016: HK$5 million of total foreign exchange gain).
