The project committee for ISO/TC242 energy management was born amid the world’s growing concern over evergy security. Established by ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation), the committee is responsible for standardization in the field of energy management and has released a Energy Management System-Requirements with Guidance to Use. 

Energy saving and emission reduction have always been important principles for Vinda moving forward. We are among the earliest to apply for certification under the new standards and the first household paper company to do so. 

On May this year, Vinda’s 3 production bases in Jiangmen city started to prepare for the certification. They have all created reality-based action plans, tracklists and cooperated with ISO to provide training.  

The 3 production bases in Guangdong province plus another one in Zhejiang province are expected to get certificates by the end of this year. The remaining factories in Hubei, Sichuan, Beijing, Liaoning and Shandong are estimated to be certified by 2014.
